Since her youth, Keiko Takegaki grew up surrounded by fabrics of various colors and materials. During her sailor father’s absence, she would raid her mother’s workroom, turning over a basket of fabrics to look for her favorite cloth with her sister. She would wrap her dolls with these fabrics and play. At university, she has continued to play with fabrics, dyeing and weaving them in different ways.
