The Kyoyaki style of Kyoto ceramics traces its history to before the dawn of the 17th century in a legacy of continuous inheritance and development that has produced numerous modern artisans. This exhibition introduces a new century of Kyoyaki ceramicists by multiple families practicing for successive generations from the Edo period through the present day, revealing Kyoto design in its inherited and evolving forms.
