This event has ended.

Born in central Kyoto in 1953, Takiguchi is a leading figure in contemporary ceramic art, winning a long list of awards, including the Foreign Minister’s Award at the 1985 Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition and the Grand Prix at the same exhibition three years later, and the Kyoto Arts and Crafts Exhibition Grand Prize.
The abstract “Untitled series” consists of conversations with soil, while the “Miniature series” works convey the lyricism of memory and playfulness. Though symmetrical in form, the “language” or poetry present in his artwork has earned Takiguchi many art fans.
Artwork under the two themes of “The Passage of Four Seasons” and “The Story of Four Cities” representing Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, and Nagoya, will be exhibited.
