Stephan Spicher (b. 1950) studied art in his native Basel, Switzerland and several other well-known art centers across Europe. Drawing on multiple ideas from Eastern and Western art traditions, the basic concept of his work advocates a spiritual minimalism. Held simultaneously with the “Blossom” exhibition of Spicher’s work at the Hashimoto Kansetsu Museum, this exhibition commemorating the Gakei Gimlet’s second anniversary introduces ten new works from one of the artist’s major drawing series.
