poster for Crystallography and the Fine Arts

This event has ended.

This exhibition takes a look at the beauty of crystals and the contribution that advanced science and crystallography research makes to the fine arts. For example, analysis of the materials used for the “Red and White Plum Blossoms” folding screen, a masterpiece by the renowned Edo period artist Ogata Korin (1658-1716), contributed to the delicate restoration and preservation of the art work.
