This event has ended.

The first porcelain produced in Japan at the beginning of the 17th Century was known as “Imari Ware,” named after the port from which it was shipped. It achieved wide popularity not only within Japan but also overseas, being exported to various parts of the world such as Asia and Europe. This exhibition introduces the charm of Imari ware through approximately 190 pieces, most of which are from the collection at the Museum of Oriental Ceramics, which are shown to the public in Japan for the first time.
