Known around the world, the National Treasure “Scrolls of Frolicking Animals and Humans” is one of Japan’s most beloved picture scrolls. Commemorating the restoration of this great work of art with the support of the Asahi Shimbun Foundation, this exhibition brings together all four volumes of scrolls, along with a rich assortment of the most famous treasures from Kōsan-ji temple.
