Gerard Poulet Concert
A rare performance by French violinist Gerard Poulet (violin), co-starring with young conductor and composer Yannick Paget. There will also be a reading by Fumiko Kaneko of the modern poetry which was the origin of Yannick Paget’s work.
Piece from the Program: “Suite pour Violon” (Composed by Kawashima Yori)
Violin solo music which consists of five short movements. The Scordatura technique (cross-tuning or mistuning) will be used throughout. Full use of open string and overtones, for a bold sound effect unlike anything heard before.
