With the contact info of friends and family saved in our phones, we can reach out to them with a touch of a button. Artist Yukari Nakahigashi distrusts such vague forms of connection, however. Her desire to connect with the people in her life in a deeper way led her to draw and paint them in pastels on the boards and papers sold with processed fish paste. She received the support of many people during this project.
