Domoto Insho: A Retrospective - 40th Anniversary of His Death

2015 is the 40th anniversary of active modern Japanese painter Insho Domoto’s death. On this occasion the museum is bringing together some of his most renowned works from the collection, such as “Princess Konohanasakuya” depicting the goddess of Japanese myth, “Metro” which portrays passengers in a Paris metro carriage, and “Symphony” which uses traditional Japanese painting materials in a dynamic abstract composition. A chance to enjoy the breadth of Insho Domoto’s work on show; the result of a varied career of experimenting with different practices.
