A 3-part exhibition showcasing Manyo Nihonga paintings, Part 1 features 154 pieces from the gallery collection. With many of the poems from the Manyoshu collection featuring flowers and birds, Manyo Nihonga paintings similarly take on motifs of flowers and birds, conveying the original sentiment and meaning of Japanese classical poetry.
