Tracing the transformations in the brilliant and mysterious forms of art throughout Southeast Asian history, this exhibition focuses on stone carvings from Cambodia’s Angkor era (early ninth through early 15th centuries), as well as sculptures from Thailand and Myanmar. Japanese statues of Buddhas and gods with similar characteristics are also on display.
