Sumire Itii Exhibition
Kunst Arzt
This event has ended.
Sumire Itii paints the everyday deeds or actions of Japanese girls concealing their plump faces. The difficulty in recognizing their faces makes us feel that we cannot read their emotions, therefore making her paintings assume the unique quality of anonymity. Her paintings, with minimalized backgrounds, cynically depict this inorganic and illusionary world, reflecting the present state of Japanese society.
