Maki Fujii and Akira Sugai propose through this exhibition that there are experiences that can only be acquired through painting. Maki Fujii’s oil paintings capture the gentle expiration of time whilst Akira Sugai attempts to seize the moment in which the silver leaf corrodes. The artists invite the viewer to swim with their eyes through their contrasting flows of time.
