This event has ended.

In the era of anxiety and confusion around the 1930s, an unusual woodblock artist Taninaka Yasunori (1897-1946) carved out his unique vision on woodblocks while living a life of extreme poverty in Tokyo. The collection of Mr. M, who has collected Yasunori’s works and related materials for 45 years, along with the museum’s collection, will introduce the world of Yasunori, filled with fantasy and poetical imagination.
The museum’s collection of printed masterpieces will also be on display in other rooms, focusing on works in the 19th and 20th century from Japan and the rest of the world.
