This event has ended.

Shikokai is the oldest avant-garde ceramic group in Kyoto which was organized two years after the end of World War 2 in 1947, followed by the Soudeisya group which started one year later in 1948. Besides ceramics, this postwar period saw a rapid spread of “borderless” movements in the fields of painting, sculpture, photography, calligraphy and ikebana art. With “postwar borderless” as the theme, presented is an exciting show that transcends the world of ceramics.
