This event has ended.

Organised with the National Folk Museum of Korea, South Korea and Japan celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations with this food-related exhibition. In order to compare the history of Korean food culture with that of Japan, visitors can take a walk through 50 years of food culture with introductions to various dishes. Exhibits such as “The World of Kimchi,” “Cooking Utensils,” and “Food Education and Information” can be enjoyed alongside artistic exhibits such as “The Current Eating Habits of the Young” and “Onomatopoeia from Food Comic Books” - a joint project by Kyoto University of Art and Design and Korea National University of Arts. There are also some fun interactive installations allowing virtual Osaka-style takoyaki (octopus dumplings) making and mochi pounding courtesy of the Osaka Institute of Technology.
