The “Sakura Doctor” Shintaro Sasabe made it his life’s work to preserve the Japanese cherry blossom, while at the same time building an impressive collection of craft items decorated with the patterns of the Japanese sakura. In remembrance of Shintaro Sasabe, this exhibition features a wide collection of items all embossed with the images of Japan’s favorite bloom, bringing the beauty of cherry blossom into everyday living.
