In recognition of the 400th anniversary of the Rimpa School of art, the Museum of Kyoto presents a sixth-floor exhibition of works by the modern Kyoto Rimpa artist Akira Fujinami. These pieces feature traditional Kyoto-style Rimpa techniques including kingindei-e gold and silver painting tarashikomi blurred coloring techniques.
