Thaweesak Srithongdee, nicknamed Lolay, is one of the most successful artists in Thailand. He energetically holds solo exhibitions not only in Thailand also in Netherlands, United Kingdom, Singapore, and Indonesia showing surrealism and pop art. This time, Lolay comes to Osaka as a invited artist for Unknown Asia which holding at Osaka City Central Public Hall in October 17 and 18, and more, he participates in making “Minami Wheel 2015” main visual and “Red Bull Ignition” project in America-Mura. The theme of exhibition is “Weapon.” The musician’s weapon is the guitar and the bass guitar. The poet’s weapon is the pen. The painter’s weapon is paints. The businessman’s weapon is the mobile phone. Based on this theme, Lolay displays his funky and slightly sexy drawing works.
