Exhibiting Buddhist art from the temples of Sakai city for Sumiyoshi Matsuri, the city’s biggest summer festival celebrating the spirits of the ancestors. Sketches and other materials related to the life of Sakai native Kantaro Suzuki, a navy captain who played an important role in the city’s postwar history, are also on display to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.
