This event has ended.

This show features four emerging artistic talents, all from the field of copperplate printmaking, who will play active roles in the future contemporary art scene. Japan’s traditional printmaking technique, as seen in Ukiyo-e prints in the Edo period, is outstanding and well-known in the world. The same is true of Kiyoshi Hasagawa, Tetsuro Komai, - two excellent artists in the Taisho to the Showa Era. The four artists in this exhibition are all designers, carvers and printers themselves, so their individual worlds on the prints are created through the total process of printmaking. Chieko Minowa and Noriko Fujita use the skill of etching to produce a fantastic world with a narrative, while Arata Nojima and Yui Koike express the light and tints from the gathering darkness through their mezzotinto technique.
