Hiroshi Nishiyama Exhibition
Kunst Arzt
This event has ended.
Focusing on “the instability of linked things,” Hiroshi Nishiyama’s sculptures express the uncertainty of social and human relationships. In “Untitled” (2014), a work of stage art for the classical music concert “Namaart 8,” Nishiyama gave concrete representation to piano tones with a set of thin washi paper poles twisted around the top of a piano. “Salavi #1” (2011), a three-meter tall stack of dishes, featured both sculptural beauty and the tension of what could be broken. This show explores notions of the “playroom” and “toys” as the origins of creativity.
