This event has ended.

In celebrating the publication of “Gin no Fune to Aoi Umi (Silver Ship and the Blue Sea),” The Kyoto International Manga Museum will host the exhibition of selected original drawings by manga artist Hagio Moto, who have given readers vivid impressions through releases of pieces such as “Poe no Ichizoku (Poe’s Family)” and “Toma no Shinzo (Heart of Thomas),” expanding the limits and realms of girls’ comic known as Shojo Manga.
While this is a re-installment of a section of an exhibition held at Tokyo’s Span Art Gallery, there will be additional pieces curated especially for the museum. Approximately 26 original drawings will be displayed, mostly selected from illustrations in “Gin no Fune to Aoi Umi (Silver Ship and the Blue Sea),” her collection of fairy tales. Additional pieces curated especially for this exhibition are a total of 8 drawings selected from a scene in “Toma no Shinzo (Heart of Thomas).”
