This 2007 Voca Prize-winning artist has attracted international attention for bold new twists on classical Japanese Nihonga painting. These works feature a modern perspective and elements of humor and parody while remaining rooted in traditional methods and forms. This exhibition is an homage to the Rimpa school of Nihonga on the occasion of its 400th anniversary.
