The pottery site Fujihira Tougei was established in 1916 in Gojozaka, the center of ceramic production in Kyoto, and is the house where Shin Fujihira (1922- 2012) was born. “Moto Fijihira Tougei Noborigama”, which was owned by Fujihira Tougei from after World War II until 2008, was Shin Fujihira’s workplace and a kiln for firing ceramics called ascending kiln. This is a special exhibition held in coordination with Shin Fujihira’s Exhibition “On Wings of Dreams” at Musée Tomo in Tokyo.
