Kenyan Ogata (1663–1743), a student of Korin Ogata, was a major ceramics artist of the Edo period renowned for his unique and bold works rooted in traditional Kyoto-style ceramics while integrating elements of Rimpa design. The Miho Museum presents works of Kenzan ware from its collection.
