Since 2009, Hosomi Museum have been developing their “Art Campus” exhibitions in order to showcase Japanese fine arts. This exhibition displays various paintings and artwork that respond to the keywords “Kira-kira” (meaning “glitter” in Japanese) and “Hono-bono” (meaning “heartwarming”). Conveyed in these are the sparkle of the seasons and the vitality and beauty of flowers and birds, emphasized by materials such as mother-of-pearl or lacquer that has been sprinkled with metal powder.
