Rooted deeply in modernism thanks to the prewar development of train lines and leisure parks, the city of Kobe boasts an urban environment, population, and culture rich in freedom and enterprise. Focusing on the Kobe area in celebration of the 110th anniversary of the Hanshin train line, this exhibition spotlights the city’s arts and culture, presenting paintings, prints, rare photographs, postcards, and other items that tell the story of Kobe.
