“Scales, Other,” Koji Maekawa’s first solo exhibition in Kansai, presents works tying together his interests in size, shape, and number, subjects he has been exploring off and on since 2011. The “Space of Drops” drawing series features drops of colors extended to their limits with pen on paper. In “Space of Hands” and “Hands Projection,” Maekawa uses his own hands and physical surroundings as a base in works contemplating changes in size and shape.
