Marking the 35th anniversary of the Kyoto Prefecture Research Center for Archeological Properties, this exhibition spotlighting Kyoto history explores human and material exchanges between the city and East Asia through archeological materials. These exchanges have brought stimulation and change to Japan, shaping its culture (the Japanese spirit) into what it is today, as well as leading to the development of Chinese scholarship within Japan. This exhibition demonstrates the achievements of the research center over its long history.
