2014 marks the 150th anniversary of the establishment of the Treaty of Amity and Trade between Japan and Switzerland. Under full cooperation of the Embassy of Switzerland and Kunstmuseum Bern, this retrospective exhibition of Ferdinand Hodler (1853-1918), a representative Swiss painter, will be held for the first time in 40 years in Japan. His unique expressions of groups of figures and symbolic landscapes will allow you to experience the abundant, tense atmosphere during the period between the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th.
