This event has ended.

The Eisei Bunko Collection was founded by the 16th lord Moritatsu Hosokawa (1883-1970), known as an outstanding collection of modern Zen painting, swords, Japanese armor, and archeological artifacts, and above all Japanese modern painting. Hosokawa built this superb collection through his interactions with and patronage of modern artists such as Nihonga painter Taikan Yokoyama and oil painter Ryuzaburo Umehara. Focusing on works from the Tokyo Eisei Bunko Collection, a remarkable selection of modern paintings are on display.
