Korea’s Goryeo period (918–1392) saw the advent of celadon culture and exacting aesthetic standards along with the spread of Buddhism to the populace. In the Joseon era (1392–1897), artwork reflected elements of Confucian society while also displaying humor and vivid colors. Traditional arts from both periods are on display.
