The multi-genre artist Ryuta Tanii’s first painting exhibition presents 42 uniquely colored works featuring motifs that have appeared in his photography before. With a respect for the lines and compositions of photographic masterpieces and a compulsion to seek out the “true states” of people, these works delve into the relationship between perceptions of contemporary society and human beings.
