Blending ancient Japanese suminagashi “floating ink” with Middle Eastern and European marbling techniques, Manabu Nakanishi’s paintings feature semi-transparent layers of color. In her ceramics, Mai Yoshikawa transposes multiple motifs on top of each other with traditional Arita ware practices. Come see how the work of these two layering artists overlaps.
