This show marks the anniversary of Dohachi Takahashi naming its ninth successor. This house of Kyoto-style ceramics became famous for its second-generation Ninami Hachido ware. Born in 1973, the current successor had been studying under her father, the eighth in the Dohachi Takahashi master, since 1997. In 2012 she became the first woman to hold the position. She strives to bring her own sensibility to Dohachi ware while continuing its traditions. Around 60 works including tea ceremony ceramics are on display.
