This event has ended.

Archeological surveys of cultural sites across Japan are conducted around 8,000 times per year. This annual exhibition by the Agency for Cultural Affairs focuses on some of the most interesting findings. Artifacts from 36 sites around Japan are displayed, along with items uncovered during restoration work related to the Great East Japan Earthquake and other disasters. The Otsu City Museum of History is the only Kansai museum to host the nation-touring exhibition this year. It will feature a special display of excavated artifacts from Otsu’s archeological sites shedding light on the region’s settler culture.
