The artist Ayaka Nishino studied oil painting at Kyoto Seika University and just graduated last March. Depicting unassuming scenes from daily life that capture her attention, Nishino’s paintings have a matte quality and are rooted in snapshot photography, resembling trimmed images with shifted focus.
