Showcasing modern paintings and crafts from the Meiji through Showa eras from the Sumitomo Family collection. With styles combining newly introduced Western and traditional Chinese and Japanese cultures, these works include paintings and ceramics by Japanese masters such as Ryusei Kishida, Ryuzaburo Umehara, and Yohei Fusei the Third. Exquisitely designed dinner and tea sets from these periods are also featured. Some of the exhibited items have been recently donated to the museum and are on display for the first time.
