Yukio Awano “Jungle and Geometry”

Both an artist and a musician, Yukio Awano utilises patterns and abstract shapes to depict fictional yet possibly existing objects of nature in his artwork. Examining the regularity of nature, such as the arrangement of veins in a leaf or the crystallizing process of minerals, Awano takes these images and through a process of distortion converts them into samples which are layered and organised to form his artwork.
There will also be a live performance by the artist. Yukio Awano will be conducting a live jazz style flute performance accompanied by a hip hop track.
