This exhibition binds the traditional world of kimono and the world of contemporary art. Four contemporary artists from Europe have been invited to produce and design kimono fabric creations to be displayed along with kimono pieces from the Chiso Collection. This allows viewers to visualize the results from two completely different manufacturing processes, the process through inherited tradition and the process of crashing through that tradition. Both are extremes and this exhibition provides an intruiging contrast between the two.
