2016 marks the 400th anniversary of Arita ware, the first porcelain produced in Japan. This exhibition looks at Arita ware from diverse angles, presenting works by living national treasures and other outstanding Arita ceramicists practicing in the region, ceramics from famous Arita kilns, and a special display of masterpieces from each era since the Edo period.
