A retrospective on the work of Saburo Hasegawa and Kumi Sugai, two painters who sought a harmony of East and West art during a difficult era. With this year marking the 110th anniversary of Hasegawa’s birth and Sugai’s death, the BB Plaza Museum of Art presents oil paintings, watercolors, and rubbings by Hasegawa from the collection of his alma mater, Konan Gakuen, along with logo and drop curtain designs by Sugai commissioned by the school.
