An exhibition of the world-renowned works of Bernard Buffet to commemorate the anniversary of Nukaga Gallery Osaka, an art space in Nishitenma. The works on display include a self-portrait from 1949 for which Buffet won acclaim as an artist of genius, paintings featuring solid black lines from the 1950s, starkly composed multicolor works from the 1970s, and vibrantly colorful, powerful paintings from his mature period in the 1980s. These oil paintings trace Buffet’s transformations as an artist.
