This event has ended.

The iro-e method of ceramics painting involves applying glaze to a work and painting patterns in red, yellow, green, blue, and black over it before firing in a kiln. Introducing the many kinds of iro-e ceramics created in Hyogo Prefecture from the Edo through the Taisho periods, this exhibition showcases the beauty of this art form through an exploration of its symbolic motifs and diverse techniques.
