Using gold as a material, Shota Suzuki creates works expressing the “momentary beauty” of the cycles of life, namely the budding, blooming, fruiting, seeding, and re-budding of all kinds of plants. With precision and skill, his recent works have a unique presence harmonizing the hard elements of gold with the soft, organic-ness of plant life. His first exhibition in Kansai presents around 20 works including new pieces.
