A special exhibition in tribute to the late Kousyuu Matsumura (1937 - 2012).
Kyoto-born artist Kousyuu Matsumura’s unique paintings are reminiscent of Nihonga paintings yet employ Western style painting techniques to create chilling paintings that are not ‘paintings of ghosts’ but the ‘ghosts of paintings.’ This group exhibition brings together the work of young up-and-coming artists who have been influenced by this greatly respected artist.
