Sixty-five works demonstrating the passion for creativity of Kazumasa Nakagawa (1893–1991), who described moments of exquisite brushwork as “reverberations in the drum of the heart.” Nakagawa, whose talent was recognized by prominent poets such as Akiko Yosano and Bokusui Wakayama, worked not just in oil painting but calligraphy, book design, mineral pigment, paints, ceramics, and other media.
