This event has ended.

Utagawa Hiroshige’s reputation as a landscape print artist was sealed with “The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido” series of ukiyo-e woodcut prints that was published by Hoeido in 1833. The Tokaido was a route that linked the political and financial centre of Edo to historical Kyoto and consisted of many spots of natural scenic beauty, which the travellers could experience directly from their seats. This exhibition presents these special landscape prints from the Hiraki Collection.
